1. Information we handle
Depending on how you use StreamerToolkits, we may handle:
- Your email and selected format, bottleneck, budget, room and existing-gear categories when you request an emailed setup plan.
- Your email, creator role, streaming stage, Windows and OBS versions, failure type, setup complexity, urgency, installation comfort, price-range signal and problem description when you consent to Output Check research.
- Whether you separately volunteer for a research interview.
- Your checkout email, name, purchase reference and submitted intake evidence (VOD link, OBS log URL and problem description) when you buy a Stream Audit or hold a legacy Stream Rescue order.
- Messages you send to our contact address.
- Basic device, page and usage information when analytics consent is granted.
No Stream Ready Verified or Expert Rescue purchase is currently accepted.
Automated report purchases
The log comparison also runs locally; raw logs are kept only in the open tab. If you choose Save this test, up to 10 numerical summaries, timestamps and your optional labels and change notes are stored in this browser. They are not uploaded. You can delete saved tests in the tool; clearing browser storage can also remove them. Loaded history may be included in a report you choose to download. Buying report exports sends payment details to Stripe, not your logs. A necessary purchase cookie remembers access for up to one year, and we verify payment and refund status with Stripe when you export. A temporary browser checkout identifier prevents duplicate checkout creation. Save the private restore link to recover access; do not share it. Contact support with your receipt for access or refund help.
2. What stays in your browser
Text pasted into the free OBS Log Analyzer is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to or stored by StreamerToolkits. The pre-stream checklist may use local browser storage so progress remains on your device.
The streaming speed test makes measurement requests to Cloudflare infrastructure. StreamerToolkits calculates the final recommendation in your browser and does not intentionally store your individual test result.
3. Purchases and card data
Stripe processes the checkout and payment. StreamerToolkits does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We may receive the checkout email, payment status, amount and transaction reference needed to verify and support the purchase. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
4. How paid-service material is used
We use the VOD, OBS log and intake details only to verify the order, perform the requested human review, deliver the audit, answer related support questions and prevent misuse. We do not claim ownership of your content or use it to train a public model.
For paid intake, you may use OBS Studio’s built-in uploader and submit the resulting obsproject.com/logs/… URL through the checkout-linked intake form. That upload is hosted by OBS Project and is subject to OBS Project’s privacy policy. Anyone with the shareable URL may be able to open the log. StreamerToolkits accesses it only to fulfill and support your audit.
5. Analytics, advertising measurement and privacy choices
Analytics and marketing measurement are separate choices. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use the analytics choice. Advertising tags such as Meta Pixel use the marketing choice and remain unloaded unless a valid platform identifier is configured and you allow marketing. You can change either choice at any time through the site’s persistent Privacy choices control.
When marketing is allowed and an advertising tag is active, that provider may receive page visits and selected events such as a completed research application, tool completion or checkout initiation. We do not send OBS logs, stream keys, passwords, form text or email addresses through browser advertising events. Providers may use cookies or similar technology for measurement, attribution, audience creation and ad delivery according to their policies and your account controls.
When analytics storage is granted, the site also keeps a small first-party acquisition record in your browser so a research application can preserve its first and most recent campaign source across StreamerToolkits pages. It can include UTM labels, the StreamerToolkits entry path, a referring hostname and an affiliate code; it does not store the referring page’s query string. Without analytics storage, only the current page’s available campaign labels and referring hostname are submitted when you explicitly consent to and send the research form. That acquisition context is stored with the application so we can measure which free tools and campaigns reach relevant streamers.
6. Output Check research messages
If you consent through the research form, we use the submitted contact and qualification details to select relevant interview and private-test candidates, understand compatibility and urgency, test pricing assumptions, and send the research or launch updates requested. Interview volunteering is optional and recorded separately. A stated price range is research—not an order, reservation or authorization to charge. A Stream Audit or legacy purchase does not enroll anyone in research marketing.
You can withdraw at any time by replying with “unsubscribe” or emailing the contact address below. Joining creates no charge, purchase, subscription, entitlement or guaranteed invitation.
7. Emailed setup plans
When you request an emailed gear plan, we use the address and selected setup categories to send the one transactional plan email. The email links back to a URL that rebuilds those choices in the browser. It contains no Amazon paid links. Requesting the plan does not subscribe you to marketing.
If you separately select the optional product-updates checkbox, we also retain the email, setup summary, consent time and available acquisition context for occasional StreamerToolkits research and launch messages. You can unsubscribe by replying to an email or contacting us. If you leave that checkbox clear, the setup-plan request is not added as a product-updates subscription.
8. Planned desktop data boundary
Output Check is not publicly downloadable today. The planned free workflow keeps the OBS WebSocket password and raw test recording on the device by default. Any future cloud history or human-review upload will require a working account flow, separate consent, visible purpose, retention and deletion controls before release. This notice will be updated when those features actually exist.
9. Service providers and disclosure
We share information only with providers needed to operate the site and deliver the service, such as hosting infrastructure, Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider, and Google or Microsoft when the applicable analytics settings allow it. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the site, users or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
We do not sell your personal information.
10. Retention and deletion
Service intake, working notes and deliverables are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to deliver and support the audit. Transaction and business records may be retained when required for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations. A VOD hosted by a third-party platform remains subject to that platform’s retention controls.
You may request deletion of service material we control. Some purchase records may need to be retained where law requires it.
11. Security and your choices
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small digital service, but no online system can promise absolute security. Use unlisted or time-limited VOD access when appropriate and never submit a password, stream key, recovery code or private API credential.
