Will the capture card
fit your setup?

Check selected Neo, 4K S and 4K X modes against your monitor signal, OBS video format and USB connection. Already own the card? Get checks to try before replacing it.

CHECK THE TWO SIGNALS4K passthrough does not mean 4K recording.

A capture card is not always the next purchase. Choose how you want to stream, then check the requirements for that path.

WHAT THIS CHECK COVERS

Keep your playing signal separate from your recording.

Passthrough sends the HDMI source to your monitor. Capture sends video to OBS. This check covers selected SDR modes with fixed refresh and no DSC. It cannot inspect hardware, test latency or guarantee compatibility. The OBS source video format and recording encoder are different settings.

For gameplay on the same PC as OBS, try OBS game capture before buying an external capture card. For console or second-PC capture, check the HDMI output and your computer together.
